Which tennis racquet is good for my style of play?
I'm a decent forehand player. I put a lot of topspins with my forehand but my backhand sucks. My game is pretty much topspin forehand and slices. Which tennis racquet (Babolat, Wilson, or Head only) suits my playing style? Also, I want one that strings dont move too much (I think that has something to do with the pattern of the strings??). My budget is $150-$180.
Ok first of all, you want something a little head-heavy. So you get a little more spin and power in your shots. You also need somethign with a good amount of tension so that the strings dont move (as you said you wanted) for Wilson I reccomend the nTour. It's slightly head-heavy and giver good head-speed. You can also go with the K-Six-One but the 95 inch head, not the 90 incher, you said you liked spin and the larger surface helps. The Babolats are good and balanced but for you I reccomend the AreoPro Control or the AeroPro Control Plus. Both are slightly head heavy and give good spin. However, If you want to go a little unortodox, you can get a Yonnex RQ-260. Its an older Raquet that is extremely head-heavy.
No Matter what Raquet you get, when you get it strung remember to use regular strings for the mains and some sort of textured strings for the crosses. This will give you more spin. Good Luck
